Andre's Bio
André Knight-McWilliams has a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). He received a Master's in Social Work from the North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, focusing on children, youth, and families. He also completed his Bachelor's degree in social work from North Carolina Central University. Andre is committed to providing clients with a safe, supportive, and caring environment.
He integrates methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. His therapeutic approach is to assess each person in their environment and provide support and feedback to help clients respond effectively to personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, Andre' works with every individual to help them build upon their strengths and achieve the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. His greatest passion is healing those who have experienced traumatic and stressful experiences with relationship problems, stress, anxiety, depression, and personal growth. André assists adolescents, children, and adults by developing positive coping techniques to reduce obstacles and complex situations.
Andre has worked with youth and young adults at the North Carolina Community College and Public Schools Systems in Eastern Carolina as a Dropout Prevention Coordinator and Upward Bound Coordinator. He served on the crisis intervention team and led other committees. He enjoys working with children, youth, young adults, and students, helping them build relationships that help them grow and lead healthier lives. He has been a speaker to high school and college students to address challenges of peer pressure, stress, depression, and anxiety.
André is a native of Rocky Mount, NC. When not working, you can find him with family and friends. He is also actively involved in his community.
