Joseph's Bio
I am Joseph McIntosh, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have 3 years of experience working with community family therapy. With an additional 3 years with working with adolescents and families. I earned my bachelor’s degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and earned my Master’s of Arts in Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.
I provide individual, family, and group counseling for adults, adolescents, children, and elder adults. I have been trained to work with the following presenting issues: anger management, career development, depression and anxiety. My therapeutic approach incorporates several major theories of counseling, including Solution-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Person Centered. I believe that every individual possesses the strength and potential to work through life problems. I seek to help my clients discover this potential and learn skills and strategies that will help them achieve their goals.
